New Year, New Me! We have all heard it and probably even said it ourselves, right? The new year is the perfect time to hit reset on our goals…but we can all agree that it’s easier said then done. So, here are some tips and tricks to help you start fresh, set realistic goals and reach your highest potential!

Set Realistic Goals

Many goals start out being to difficult, which leads to failure. When you are thinking about what you want to accomplish in the new year, think of what is realistic. Losing 50 pounds by February 1 is not realistic, but exercising 3x a week, drinking your water and eating healthy is, for example. Healthy is a lifestyle. Don’t set yourself up for failure right off that bat.

Track your Progress

Make a goal list, finish a task and check it off! Great satisfaction comes from accomplishing something, especially when it was hard work and took a lot of motivation in the first place. Plus, tracking your progress helps you see what you are good at, struggle with and need to work on.

Make it Social

Tell your friends and family your goals. This helps you stay more accountable and motivated to actually do what you said you were going to do! Have them join you in your new years resolutions, a little push or friendly competition can go along while and will make it more fun!
